6th Arctic Pelvic Floor Meeting, 23-24 May 2022

On the 23-24 May THD and Sacomed were at the 6th Arctic Pelvic Floor Meeting that this year was held in Svolvaer, Norway

On the 23-24 May THD and Sacomed were at the 6th Arctic Pelvic Floor Meeting in Svolvaer (Lofoten Island), Norway.

During the APFM meeting, organized by the Norwegian National Advisory Unit on Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Health, were presented the latest interdisciplinary updates in the assessment and treatment of incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. 

 Some of the topics the meeting focused on were the Norwegian register for fecal incontinence (NRA), the late effects after pelvic cancer treatment, obstetric anal sphincter injuries and pudendal nerve affections.  

 On this occasion, THD illustrated the advantages of THD® Anopress, the portable device used to perform clinical anorectal manometry in a quick and easy way. Indeed, anorectal manometry is the main exam to assess the functional activity of the anal sphincters in any case of clinically evident or possible anal incontinence condition, such as obstetric anal sphincter injuries.
