50. Deutscher Koloproktologen Kongress, 14-16 March 2024, Munich

On 14-16 March 2024 THD was in Munich to take part in the 50. Deutscher Koloproktologen Kongress organised by the DGK - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Koloproktologie (DGK).

On 14-16 March 2024 THD was in Munich to take part in the 50. Deutscher Koloproktologen Kongress organised by the DGK - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Koloproktologie (DGK). 

The event was an invaluable opportunity to share interesting insights with renowned experts.

In particular, on 14 March the symposium on the screening and management of HPV-related anal precancerous lesions, performed with THD integrated procedures, proved a great success. During her speech, Dr. med. Judith Lippler-Davidsson focused on the HPV epidemiology and on the risk factors for the development of anal carcinoma, while Prof. Cavazzoni presented the current clinical evidence for the diagnosis, therapy and follow-up of AIN/SIL. Moreover, Dr. Igor Sirovich illustrated the advantages of THD Laser Station system for the minimally invasive treatment of anal precancerous lesions. 

During the congress great attention was also given to the increasing incidence of anal carcinoma among women aged 55-65. 

The DGK Kongress was also an important opportunity to present THD latest innovations for the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of haemorrhoidal disease and faecal incontinence and introduce other professionals to cutting-edge treatments that can significantly reduce pain and discomfort for patients affected by these anorectal conditions.
